For Australian tech leaders, the opportunity is clear, but the path to entry requires a local heartbeat—someone who knows the people behind the platforms.
This past October, VentureSEA was delighted to join forces once again with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) to deliver the Indonesia Digital Transformation TIA Landing Pad. Our goal was simple: to move beyond standard introductions and create real, lasting connections for some of Australia’s most exciting technology pioneers.
How did VentureSEA prepare Australian companies before arrival?
Success in Southeast Asia is built on trust. That’s why our work began long before the delegation arrived in Jakarta. We spent weeks in one-on-one coaching sessions with firms like UnicornShift, PI.Exchange, and Sekuro, not just to polish their pitches, but to truly understand their “why.”

To truly understand the “New Indonesia,” you have to see it in action. On our final day, we traveled to BSD City in collaboration with Living Lab Ventures.
Walking through the Biomedical Campus and visiting the headquarters of regional giants like Traveloka, our delegates didn’t just hear about smart city development—they felt the scale of it. It was a day of shared learning, networking over lunch at Jalarasa, and uncovering the “smart” infrastructure opportunities that only an in-person visit can reveal.
